High index Lenses
|
While spectacle wearers take great pains to select the right frame, it's easy to make the
mistake of thinking that there is little to choose from when it comes to the lenses that go in
it. The reality is very different. Many lenses today have very sophisticated, computer-designed
surfaces that mean they are thinner, lighter and flatter than ever before. Lightweight
high-index plastics mean that they are even thinner still and if you have even a medium
prescription, you'll really notice the difference, particularly with a larger frame.

Transitions Lenses
|
Transitions lenses quickly darken in the sun and lighten again almost as quickly when you
return indoors. The lenses are made from optical plastic so they are very lightweight and
so comfortable to wear. Transitions lenses are available as single vision lenses, bifocals
and Varilux®.

Anti-reflection coatings
|
Anti-reflection coatings that can be applied to both plastic and glass lenses. They dramatically
reduce reflections on lenses ensuring that it's the wearers' eyes people see, not their lenses.
The visual benefits are equally spectacular. When driving at night, for example, you will find
the absence of reflections drastically reduces glare. Anyone working on a computer monitor will
appreciate the improved contrast that coated lenses bring, making work on computers significantly
less tiring on the eyes.
